Rose can't bring herself to tell the Doctor how she has really been adjusting to life in Pete's World. This is the story of what Rose didn't do and how she decided to make a little white lie reality.

This was something that I remember there being fandom discussion about during 2007. Was Rose telling the truth about joining Torchwood? Would she really go back to working in a department store? Was she pregnant? There was not a bit of meat left on those bones. Anyway, I think that she probably did join Torchwood but after some reluctance, so that's what this fic is about. Basically I decided to apply the trope as she kind of can't help but do the whole save the world business, even if in her grief and depression she wouldn't really want to.

Aaaahhh thank you so much for reading it and commenting! It is really nice to get feedback on something especially when I wasn't sure if anyone would. I like to read your fics sometimes when you post them because I feel like you have a really authentic connection to what you're writing, especially with something like your Torchwood fics. Even if they aren't something I would think to seek out on my own, I like feeling that sense of care that you manage to put into drabbles and stuff. Looking to you for craftsmanship on those shorter fic aspirations. Again thanks!!!

Wow, thanks for the wonderful compliment! It's really nice to hear that the effort I put into the drabbles shows. I try to make them more of a tiny story and they need to make a point (something that I want to say about the characters) for me to feel they're worth writing. Just... thanks again. I'm kinda speechless, and very appreciative.
