Favorite Character Bingo

I keep second-guessing some of these decisions, but some friends in a discord server were doing this, so putting this together is how I wasted my Friday evening's productivity.

Basically this is to compare and contrast character favorites and/or recognition. If you want to play along, you can save the image file and use your choice of marking system: stickers on an app, Paint, gimp/ps, whatever. You can circle or x or star characters you like too. We also took to putting question marks on people we didn't recognize at all.

Shirou! I admit that I was mostly indifferent towards him in Fate, but I really got to liking him in UBW and Heavens Feel (especially Heavens Feel, where he became my favorite character next to Sakura and Saber).

I'm also really fond of Zuko. I need to watch ATLA again.

My introduction to Fate was through the UBW anime, and while I started watching the series on a lark because a friend was talking about Zero and explaining some stuff and I saw a picture of Rin and liked her aesthetic, Shirou was the character that I related to the most a lot of the time.

I'm a sucker for redemption arcs often.

I didn't get a bingo but I know quite a few of those! Mainly Doctor Who. Do you have any particular character types you tend to gravitate to?

I honestly don't know. I have tried to figure it out, because I know a lot of people like to talk about whatever "type" they're drawn to.

I know that I tend to aesthetically be drawn to dark-haired people out of, I guess, brunette pride. But that doesn't preclude people with other hair colors.

I really love characters who have (or have the potential for) redemption arcs I find credible, but that isn't the only type. Just one of them.

I guess I also like characters who are prone to decide that they are the line in the sand even if they aren't really completely sure of themselves. That's like most characters in Doctor Who, I suppose, which is why I like the series so much. I think that it shaped that into me more than any other fandom.

As far as shipping goes, I am often attracted to character twosomes who represent two ends of a spectrum, two opposing styles of leadership (or something), or some other sense in which they are opposite archetypes or ideologues, which plays into my preferences in characters, too?

I like mediator or word-user characters, too.

I wish someone knew how to better diagnose it for me, lol.

Those are all cool! I guess you like Aziraphale/Crowley then? Since they are basically the epitome of what you describe in your shipping. :P
