I found it. The best twitter account.

So there is a song called "2021" by Vampire Weekend that has a pleasantly sort of haunting atmosphere. It is about the passage of time and the melancholy involved with it. But it apparently samples its music from this tape from 1984 which was commissioned from a Japanese musician as background music for a shop. And it is WEIRD.

My best friend wasn't so much a fan of the Vampire Weekend song, but she picked out some gems from the comments after I noted that the first one I saw, "This is the music that plays when you get to the end of youtube," was pretty great.

And they only got better.

And there are even more. And I discovered upon closer examination that there is a twitter account dedicated to the comments, and I think it is the best twitter account so far.

Edit: The above comment is an example of the funny, surreal ones but this one really resonates with me in a more serious way.

Any resemblance to Crowley is purely coincidental. (Not sarcasm. I mean, I did watch Good Omens, and I have read it too although it's been a million years, but though I liked it I did not go anywhere near as gaga over it as EVERYONE ON TUMBLR seems to have, to the point I actually blacklisted the tag early on in June because I was so fed up with #david tennant suddenly being like 50% Good Omens, and especially a lot of Crowley/Aziraphale which is not my cuppa. so.)

I definitely feel like that's the kind of song you'd make me listen to if you were trying to torture information out of me. That chime would get to me eventually. And then sometime in the indefinite future I'd come back around to liking it because it's somehow endearing in it's simplicity.

Yeah there is something really bizarre about it. It is both peaceful and irritating, like a rainstorm. I guess there is something about "watering a flower" to it.
