Thanks! I am glad to "have it over with" in a way... That sounds way more negative than I mean for it to in connotation, though I am always worried when someone expresses very clear ship preferences that I don't particularly jive with. I feel even worse, as a bi woman, when those ships are femslash that I have just never given a second thought. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we live in a world with many more complexly written men, m/m slash is easier to come by just by the nature of... I dunno... the history of fiction. That isn't to say there isn't femslash I love. I just feel weirdly particular about it, but I try to convince myself it isn't actually a fault.

In any case, what I did end up writing MIGHT have some pre-femslash tones in it, though it would be for a ship the recipient did not mention. She requested that non-requested romantic ships not be the focus of the story, but it was very much a gen sort of character study thing... Anyway, I am biting my nails hoping recipient does not think I was a jerk. I really did try!
