I used to keep a reasonably updated and comprehensive list of fandoms I was into. After a while, it felt like a pointless chore, but now that I'm trying to blog more for me and to participate in more personal challenges and plans, I thought it would be a good task to go through again.

I will try to update it somewhat accurately, so... Last Updated: May 2, 2026

This list is probably not entirely comprehensive but also more comprehensive than my current active interests. I was going to try to mark all of the fandoms I have written fic for, but it would be most of them and leave the ones that I haven't gotten around to looking kind of sad.

I have other stuff that I am into or have really enjoyed and even written fic for but which doesn't really feel like a fandom. This includes some books. Specifically it would feel weird to list Lolita or The Great Gatsby as fandoms, but I love their prose with a deep passion. Furthermore, Portal is the only game I've ever felt like I was actively in-the-fandom with. However, I have enjoyed what I have played or viewed of things like Mass Effect or Detroit: Become Human but haven't really earned the points to be "in the fandom" in my own mind. Furthermore, I've logged a lot of time in Bethesda games, specifically Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas, and while I have written fic and have some fandom-y ideas about the latter especially, I don't necessarily feel, again, that I quite know what it feels like to feel especially fandom-y about it consistently.

These opinions are all subject to fluctuation and change.

Some of the above-listed media like Artemis Fowl or Pretty Little Liars I haven't revisited in years. I have a chronic habit of being not-quite-caught-up with something, even if I enjoyed it a lot at the time and still plan to someday finish. Other media like The West Wing I basically have Stockholm Syndrome with because someone I love loves it (namely my father for that one).

This list is a thinking-space for me, but I also hope that you will find it useful in the event that I ask for help or prompting in the future. ♥

AoS Thoughts

I have continually tried and failed to get past S2 of AoS. I gave up and rage-quit back when it was airing, because I felt like the fandom was becoming an increasingly hostile space. I am still a SkyeWard shipper, and I feel that the lack of a Ward redemption arc was

A) wildly irresponsible and went against the grain of every principle the show tried to suggest about anything or anyone else

or

B) a tragic exploration of what happens when you had every chance to help a radicalized and abused person climb out of the hell they have found themselves in because you were hurt and angry

Seeing clips from S4 and the Framework is what made me interested in watching again. However, upon revisiting, even though I'm still very angry about certain things, on my slow process of trying to get further I will say that it actually feels like a more solid show than I initially gave it credit for.

DCTV/Arrowverse Thoughts

I am not fully caught up on any show in the CW's block of DC-related programs. However, I like each of them that I have seen any of. I'm not really that sure about Supergirl as a standalone property, but that isn't that I don't like Kara or anything. I feel like I am in a minority, because I continue to feel the most attached to Arrow. I also like the first couple of seasons best, though there seems to have been good material even in the bad seasons.

I will be angry about how they treated Earth 1 Laurel Lance until the day I die.

However, I don't dislike Olicity at all. I multiship and don't really like Lauriver. Merlance all the way.

I actually really like the crossover specials. Most things people hate, I don't mind. Sue me?

Doctor Who Thoughts

Doctor Who has been an abiding love of mine since 2006. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I feel it helped save my life and some scraps of mental health when I was fifteen. However, it is an interest that I fall in and out of fervent love with. I have not seen any of Thirteen, and I haven't finished Twelve and Bill's season because I was so shaken by losing Clara. However, that isn't to say that Clara is the only companion I like. I care about all of them. I suppose that Ten and Rose and Twelve and Clara are the two most important Doctor and Companion pairs to me. And I also love the Doctor's interactions with the Master. However, I hold Martha in really high esteem too and kind of ship her with Jack and wish that we'd gotten even more of them together. I don't get into any of the RTD vs. Moffat business, especially not these days. I really hope that I like Thirteen when I get around to her, but I just feel very unready to move on even further. It'll probably fade, though. I thought I was done with DW after the midpoint of S6, but I came back.

The Expanse Thoughts

I have seen through most of S3 as I recall. I took part in the #SavetheExpanse campaign on twitter, and I even signed up for Amazon Prime because I wanted to watch and support it. However, I find that it is so emotionally taxing that I kind of ran out of steam for binging it. Plus, my best friend got me into it but was having a cooling off period when I was super obsessed. I intend to continue watching the series, and I own the first book and may finish it one day. I have brief and sudden flourishes of intense interest in The Expanse and highly recommend it.

Poly-Roci fam all the way btw. Usually is my opinion.

Fate Thoughts

I got into Fate in 2015 through the UBW anime. In a way, being into it has shaped and defined my identity and even the trajectory of my life. It is one of those things, similar to Doctor Who, that I feel like I'm into even when I'm not really into. However, I have a lot of baggage with certain areas of the fandom that are just truly exhausting to think about. I have a shameful number of fic WIPs that may or may not ever see updates or even the light of day off one particular forum, though some of them are on AO3. I do hope to continue to contribute one day, though, because I still love the media itself even if sometimes it exhausts my soul to think about it.

Pacific Rim Law

Only one real note: Mako Mori lives and I do not even know what Uprising is. Never saw it, don't plan to because of that nonsense.

The 100 Thoughts

So I have only seen back-to-back episodes up to the second to last episode of S2. I have seen scattered episodes ever since. However, I just couldn't stomach Maya and all those kids dying at the time, and I never got back to it.

I'm a Bellarke fan but don't hate on other shippers (in this or anything unless it's like absolutely horrifying and affecting real life in a negative way).

Star Wars Thoughts

I got into Star Wars via the prequel trilogy when I was a teenager. So for most of my active time in the SW fandom as a teen, Attack of the Clones was my favorite. I know how this is seen now, and I can feel the cheese but I'm not sorry for loving Anidala.

I am a fan of Reylo, too. I'm not gonna protest if it doesn't happen, but I'll be surprised. I think people who get violently angry about reylo really need to go outside. Having a different opinion about media isn't a reason to blacklist and bully people imo.

Torchwood Thoughts

I really only like Season 2 and what I wish Season 4 could have been in my head.

I enjoyed aspects of Janto but I ship Jack and Martha and personally felt kind of bad for Ianto in his relationship with Jack sometimes (never mind CoE which I lalala pretend didn't happen). I also went through a phase of being super into Tosh/Owen. Unsure how I feel about it now but it isn't negative really.

DCEU Wonder Woman

This is a running list of things I've been into enough to have fandomy feelings about. I really found the movie itself moving, but I have not seen its sequel as reading a plot summary dampened my enthusiasm for it. Furthermore, I have since been convinced that Gal Gadot, while pretty, has terrible politics and isn't a very good actress. I still enjoyed the movie for what it was and in its time, though.

I've sort of made an FAQ-y bit here for certain fandoms where I felt the need to clarify thoughts. Even if the others don't have notes sections, it doesn't mean I don't have thoughts or whatever. If you have questions, please feel free to ask on this post!

I sometimes separate my thoughts about fandoms I like vs fandoms I'm in like I might for Yuletide as: fandoms I want stories for or things I could potentially write for. I sign up for pinch hits every year because I know there's a shit ton of things I COULD write for if the right prompt came along. But those are the things I will actively sign up for.
