It is fashionable to have a sticky post, I guess. Here is one for me.
For the past few years on the internet, I have gone by the name Prix. I have found it convenient even though the origins of it now make me feel a little bit ambivalent.
I'm in my 30s until January 25, 2031. I'm a Christian and politically left-leaning. Fandom culture is something I consider myself both a part of and interested in as a sort of sociological phenomenon, but I have been struggling to find my mooring in it for a few years now. Hopefully, I'll be able to work on that and stop berating myself for wanting to participate in anything.
You can find a sort of universal landing page that the cool kids on twitter have been using lately here:
I write fanfiction when I can, and that is my primary fannish contribution to the world. For a long time, I was failsafe on AO3, but it didn't stick or feel like a name elsewhere, so I recently changed my AO3 name to match the rest of my more recent online identity:
Prix
I have a mix of current fandoms and forever-fandoms at any given time.
Fandom Masterlist
Shipping Masterlist
Honestly there is no way of telling about frequency, and the more engagement I get in a present interest the more I talk about it. Stick around if you like anything and it should come up eventually.

IV. Friending Policy
This is my policy about my own fanworks and what other fans can do with them. Feel free to approach me to clarify or just to let me know what you're planning to do as I would love to know! It is hard for me to imagine anyone really making use of this, but just in case...
In most cases, I think it is really cool if a fic of mine inspired you to do something else. If you use AO3, I would strongly prefer that you tick the box that says "This work is a remix, a translation, a podfic, or was inspired by another work" and link to the work that inspired yours. This will alert me automatically, and it also lets others see the fic you were inspired by if they want to.
Allowed by Prix: podficcing, fic of fic, fic set in the same universe, a "sequel" to a fic as long as you acknowledge that it is an AU if I create content that contradicts it later, creating visual fanart or vids based on my fic, creating playlists/fanmixes inspired by my works, translation of my fic into another language as long as it links back to the source
Not Allowed by Prix: I do not allow "remixing" of my fic where a person uses the base structure of my fic to write a fic about other characters entirely or uses a large excerpt of my fic from which to create a different fic. That is just lazy plagiarism in my opinion.
If you need to clarify about anything or just want to let me know you want to do something, please feel free to contact me! I would love to know. ♥
I welcome constructive criticism about the craft of writing, but I think that "constructive criticism" does not extend to the events or relationships in the fic. I accept (and love) meta-style commentary on my fic. There is no such thing as a comment that is too long or involved for me. However, I would also love one-liners if that is what you are comfortable with. Receiving feedback that is given in food faith always makes my day! I also welcome feedback and comments on fics of any age and in any fandom, current or not.
For older fics especially, it may take me a little while to respond to comments, but if you are a registered user of the place where you commented, I always try to eventually reply! If you are anon or a logged out user, I will usually respond, but I may not if it has been a long time because I assume you may not see the response.
I post my fanfiction primarily on AO3. For Type Moon fics, I also post on the Beast's Lair forum at times. I also have a limited presence on fanfiction.net, though not all my fic is posted there. If, for some reason, you want my fic to be available on another platform, I would appreciate if you would contact me and explain the reasons why. If I feel comfortable with the reasons, then I can post the fic myself. Unless it is a translation of my fic into another language*, I would prefer that others not post my fic under their accounts anywhere on the internet. Links and short excerpts for the purpose of promotion, good-faith critique, recommendation, or bookmarking are fine. *If it is a translation, I would still like for it to be linked back to me and I would prefer it be hosted on AO3 through the method described above.
Since I make fic primarily, I cannot imagine a circumstance where this would be an issue with a fan trying to behave ethically, but please link back to my AO3 account or my carrd when you are posting excerpts or commentary on my fic if this happens or if you create a work inspired by one of my fics. In the event that I make icons, vids, or other media I also ask that you link back to my AO3 account, my card, or this dreamwidth account.
The internet has changed a lot in the time that I have been a part of fandom. In some cases, I have saved fanart off the internet for my personal enjoyment for use as a desktop background or screensaver or the like. In some cases, I have completely forgotten where I got those images. In recent times, I have made a strong effort to remind myself where any saved art has come from, and I avoid reposting except as an example of something or for commentary with posted regrets that I don't remember where I got it. In the future, I will not save fanart without making sure I also save credit as to where I got the art somewhere, but as I said this seems to have only become a feasible issue at some time during the age of highspeed internet so I apologize for my younger self's ignorance. To that end, I try to avoid reposting fanart without direct linking and credit and avoid reposting at all if the author has requested that it not be done. However, if I repost art that belongs to you without credit becauset the credit has been lost, please send me the link and I will amend the post with the credit link OR take it down at your discretion.
On AO3, I tag major squicks and triggers to the best of my ability. There are times when I will not tag some things that might be spoilery to the fic, but I generally let the fic be slightly spoiled by tags so as to protect people. On sites like tumblr, I tag EVERYTHING. Here on dreamwidth, I use the age restriction viewer discretion advised option to the best of my ability.
For me, particularly disturbing content that I would like tagged/cut/warned for/etc is as follows: extreme gore, loss of limb in fiction, bloody pictures or imagery, cannibalism even only in description, and Satanism/demonology.
When fandom made the great migration to tumblr during 2010-2011, one of the things I immediately missed was the personalized, LJ-style of tagging where you could quickly view all your own tags. I think that the separation of "interests" and "tags" is a fantastic think about Dreamwidth, and I wish more sites would implement it. However, in my time away, I have gotten rusty on how to make an attractive and dynamic tagging system. You can, of course, click the link to see for yourself, but as this journal grows it might be helpful to know my general nomenclature for tags so far.
[Tag Description]
Connected general topics: [topic] (e.g. 2018, japan)
Most Fandoms: [Fandom Title] (e.g. agents of shield, yugioh)
Big Franchises Sometimes: [Franchise: Fandom Title] (e.g. type moon: fate)
Categorical Tags: [character: Name] (for character, ship, community, fic exchange, rec)
Here on dreamwidth, I usually add back unless you are an empty journal. It is usually reciprocal with access, too, though I have not access-locked much so far. However, if you are under 18 or I have some other reservation about the issue for any reason I reserve the right to not grant reciprocal access. Unless I have spoken to you before, I will probably not grant access if I subscribe to you without speaking to you first, but if we have talked before - even on a friending comm - I will probably give you access if you are interested in mutual access. Basically I am willing to roll with most things but am vaguely uncomfortable with the idea of giving access to someone who doesn't give it back unless I know them very well.
I am open to setting up access filters in the future if it is convenient or necessary, but I have not so far.

On Doing Stuff with My Fic
In most cases, I think it is really cool if a fic of mine inspired you to do something else.
