I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this. Life seems so cruel sometimes, and 2020 has had more than it's share of it.

Of course it's hard to be fannishly creative with so much upheaval in RL, at least I find it to be that way. Even if it could provide good distraction. I watch Ancient Aliens for distraction myself. They're entertaining. I enjoy seeing what new wacky, out-there theory they come up with next.

Sending prayers for your family. Be kind to yourself. Dealing with declining health of a parent is one of the hardest things we deal with in life. Frankly, it sucks.
